Paul Thompson is currently serving as a Vice President of the Texas Police Association. He began his career as a Texas Peace Officer in 1991 and has served in many capacities including patrol officer, patrol supervisor, criminal investigator, narcotic investigator, a police chief in two cities, and currently as an ISD police chief administrator. In addition to these accomplishments, Thompson is a business owner, Adjunct Instructor with Kilgore College currently serves on Colorado Technical University School of Security Studies Advisory Council, a former President of the East Texas Police Chief Association (2013), and has served on the East Texas Police Academy Advisory Board (2000-2005). Academically, Thompson earned a Doctor Degree in Management, Master of Science in Criminal Justice, and Bachelor of Science Degree.
