SUMMARY:2026 Law Enforcement Leadership Conference
DESCRIPTION:Register Now to Attend our 2026a Law Enforcement Leadership Conference that will be held in Bandera\, Texas\, February 15 – 20\, 2026! \nDear Law Enforcement and Public Safety Leaders: \nThe Texas Police Association is pleased to announce the 164th Session of our “Law Enforcement Leadership Conference” at the Mayan Ranch in Bandera\, Texas. The Conference will begin at 1:00 p.m. Sunday\, February 15th\, and will conclude at 12:00 noon\, Friday\, February 20\, 2026. \nTopics presented and discussed will include the following: Conflict Resolution; Contemporary Response to Resistance; ALERRT Statistics and Incident Command; Liability Issues for Law Enforcement Managers\, (including Legal Aspects of Employee Disciplinary Procedures); PIO Training; LEADing From Within\, Demonstrations of Acceptable Use of Force Tactics\, Growing Leaders; and other subjects. Individual presentations\, with a lot of class participation\, are the standard for instruction. \nParticipation in the Conference is encouraged for those in Leadership roles including administrative\, management\, supervisory\, or advisory positions in any Law Enforcement or Public Safety Agency. Space is limited\, and due to the popularity of this program\, registrations will be confirmed on a first received basis. \nThe total cost for the entire program includes 5 nights’ lodging\, 3 home-cooked meals per day\, refreshments\, and 40 hours of high-quality training for only $1\,050.00 for TPA Members and $1\,100.00 for Non-TPA Members. You may register on-line or by using the attached registration form. To register online\, you may use the “Register Here” on this form as well as on the registration form. Please contact our office if invoicing is needed. Credit Cards (American Express\, Discover\, Master Card\, & Visa) are accepted. Please note – Registrations paid by credit card will also include the credit card processing fees. Invoicing is available for payment by agency check to avoid these fees. Travel expenses to and from Bandera are the responsibility of the individual or his/her agency. \nForty (40) TCOLE credit hours of training will be given to those who complete the Conference. \nRequest for a refund of the registration fee cannot be considered after February 1st\, 2026.

SUMMARY:2025 TPA Annual Training Conference
DESCRIPTION:Sheriff Eddie Guerra and the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office in Edinburg\, Texas will host the Texas Police Association’s 125th Annual Training Conference\, March 4-6\, 2025. The Conference will be held at the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office Training Academy located at 715 El Cibolo Road\, Edinburg\, Texas\, 78541. \nAttendees will receive some of the best training available\, focusing on Leadership . TCOLE training credit will be given to those who complete the training courses. \nThe Holiday Inn Express & Suites is offering a special rate of $99.00 Single or $109.00 Double room rate for conference attendees. Reservations must be made by February 28\, 2025 to receive the special rate. Reservations may be made by calling the Hotel directly at (956) 259-7829. \nThe registration fee for the Conference is $50.00. Your registration fee will allow you access to the training\, vendors and conference events. \nThe Conference Schedule is being finalized\, so be sure to check your emails\, upcoming issues of the Journal\, and the TPA Website for updated information. \nIf you are interested in being a sponsor for the Conference\, please contact our office at (512) 458-3140. \nPlease note\, those wishing to use a credit card for making their registration payments will also be charged a 3% credit card fee in addition for making that purchase which are non-refundable.
